Job Description

The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Pragma Edge will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the company. As a key member of the executive team, the CSO will be responsible for developing, executing, and sustaining corporate strategic initiatives. This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the IT Software and services industry, capable of driving long-term growth and competitive advantage through innovative strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Lead the development of the company’s long-term strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the overall mission, vision, and goals.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats in the IT software and services industry.

Business Development:

  • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.

Innovation and Growth:

  • Drive innovation by identifying new service offerings, market segments, and revenue streams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.
  • Drive Pragma Edge with double digit growth for next 5 years

Performance Management:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic projects, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Hire, Build and Collaborate with the executive team to ensure cohesive execution of strategic initiatives across all departments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of strategy professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

Market Intelligence:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence to guide strategic decision-making.

Resource Allocation:

  • Optimize the allocation of resources to support strategic priorities and maximize return on investment.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the strategy function.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Communicate the company’s strategy to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the board of directors and other key stakeholders.


  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in strategic planning, business development, or a related role within the IT services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of market research, data analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a senior strategic role within a high-growth IT services company.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation, cloud computing, and other relevant technology trends.
  • Certification in strategic management or related areas.
