Job Overview

An EDI Project Manager is responsible for overseeing electronic data interchange (EDI) integration projects, ensuring smooth collaboration between internal teams, clients, and vendors while driving project delivery from planning to completion. They play a key role in managing schedules, budgets, communications, and technical problem-solving related to EDI solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end EDI integration projects, including planning, stakeholder alignment, and tracking milestones.
  • Oversee and maintain EDI operations, ensuring seamless data exchange between internal systems and trading partners.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, manage changes, and act as the primary contact for clients, internal teams, and EDI providers.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive actions for mitigation and resolution.
  • Develop and implement EDI standards, protocols, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, collect requirements, design solutions, and establish integration frameworks.
  • Conduct testing and validation of EDI processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide technology and business consultation, reporting, and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, particularly with EDI solutions and client-facing roles.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI systems, protocols, and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with structured project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and financial reporting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with diverse teams

Preferred Skills

  • PM certification (e.g., PMP) and familiarity with supply chain or logistics.
  • Experience with emerging technologies and AI tools for automation.
  • Supervisory skills and experience managing teams or vendors.
  • Fluent in English; other languages (such as German or French) are a plus.
