IBM Maximo MAS8/9 Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the IBM Maximo Application Suite system, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide support for Maximo users, addressing and resolving system-related issues promptly.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep the system current and functional.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and procedures.
  • Perform data imports, exports, and configure the system as required.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, optimize configurations for efficiency, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in Maximo Configuration and Customization.
  • Experience with Maximo Upgrade projects and familiarity with Maximo IT & Utilities.
  • Proficient in Maximo Administration skills, including WebSphere app server.
  • Knowledge of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS8) and RedHat OpenShift.
  • Proven experience as a Maximo Application Administrator, providing technical assistance and guidance on complex system implementations.
  • Skills in Maximo Integration with external systems/interfaces.
  • Experience with Maximo Configuration Migration using Migration Manager (preferred).
  • Customer-facing experience and support roles (preferred).
  • Exposure to Maximo Performance optimizations and troubleshooting (preferred).
  • Working experience with one or more IBM MAS Offerings (MAS Manage, CP4D, Monitor, Health, Predict, MVI).
  • Experience with RedHat operating systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as IBM Cloud, Azure, GCP, and AWS.
  • Knowledge of IBM Maximo Application Suite installation processes.
  • Experience with SSO, LDAP, and SAML configurations.
  • Proficiency in databases such as IBM DB2, MySQL, and Oracle.
  • Ability to collaborate with consultants and subject matter experts across internal and external teams
  • Flexibility to provide 24×7 support and work in shifts as needed.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving.
  • Experience with project management, client interactions, proposal writing, and providing architectural solutions based on customer expectations.
  • Involvement in pre-sales activities and creating business opportunities.

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift and cloud technologies.
  • MAS8/9 Admin, Maximo 7.x/EAM, Maximo Integration Framework (WIF), OpenShift Administration and Maximo day 2 support big plus
  • Experience with anyone databases like Oracle, MySQL, and DB2 databases.
  • Experience on anyone cloud technologies such as GCP, IBM Cloud, Azure, and AWS
  • Willing to learn MAS functional and ready to support MAXIMO demos
