Sterling Integrator Admin Trainee

Job Description

We are seeking a Sterling Integrator Admin Trainee to assist in the administration, configuration, and support of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build expertise in managing B2B integration solutions, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and file transfer processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide basic support under guidance.
  • Work on trading partner setups, map deployments, and business process configurations.
  • Assist in implementing patches, upgrades, and security updates for the Sterling environment.
  • Support file transmissions (FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTP, etc.) and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and workflow automation.
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop technical expertise.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of EDI, B2B integration concepts, and file transfer protocols.
  • Exposure to Linux/Unix environments and command-line scripting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2) and basic query writing is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in learning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
